Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-10-26

1. Provider and scope

This website and its tools are provided by Artificial Pixels GmbH (see legal notice). These terms apply to the use of the website. No registration is required.

2. The service

The tools are free of charge. They run entirely in your browser; your files are not uploaded to us. We may change, extend or discontinue tools at any time. There is no entitlement to a particular feature or to permanent availability.

3. Your files and backups

You decide which files the tools read and where results are saved. When you save into a folder, existing files with the same name may be replaced. Keep backups of your originals: we cannot restore files, because we never receive them. You are responsible for checking the selected files and destination before starting an operation. Depending on your browser, device and the operation performed, errors or interruptions may result in incomplete results or data loss. Keep independent backups of important files.

4. Check results before you rely on them

The tools work automatically and can produce unexpected results. In particular, check before publishing or sharing that redaction, blurring and pixelation actually hide what they should; that metadata (EXIF, GPS) has been removed as expected; that background removal, compression and conversions meet your quality requirements; and that dataset analyses, annotations and augmented data are correct before you train models with them. Do not rely on a visual appearance alone to confirm that sensitive information has been permanently removed. Where confidentiality is important, verify the exported file using an appropriate independent method before sharing or publishing it.

5. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. In all other cases, our liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by mandatory law.

6. Your responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions required to process the content you select. You must not use the tools for unlawful purposes or in ways that infringe the rights of others, including copyright, privacy and personality rights. This includes removing copyright notices or watermarks from third-party works without authorization where such authorization is required.

7. Advertising and external links

The website is funded by advertising and may contain links to third-party websites. Third-party websites are operated under the responsibility of their respective providers. Information about advertising technologies, cookies and the processing of personal data is provided in our privacy policy.

8. Open-source software

The website uses open-source software components. Information about these components and their applicable licenses is available on our open-source licenses page. The applicable open-source license terms govern the use of the respective components to the extent required by those licenses.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms for the future; the date at the top shows the current version. German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence.
